Israel's Government Hits YouTube!

The Knesset has connected to the video sharing website YouTube, giving each Member of the Knesset (MK) his or her own page. The MKs will undergo training in the use of the new media.

On Wednesday, the new Knesset channel will appear on YouTube's homepage in Israel.

“The Knesset has entered a new era,” said Knesset speaker Reuven Rivlin. The new initiative “allows us to bring the lawmakers closer to the Israeli public,” he said.
