What is the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews?
The founder of the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews (IFCJ) was interviewed by the Jerusalem Post. Below is one quote that caught our eye:
“I have always had one red line: that I would never work with any group involved in missionary activity targeting the Jewish community,” insists Eckstein. “However, if there are groups that believed in the end of days or that all the Jewish will eventually turn to Jesus, but in the meantime they see it as their obligation to share with us a love for Israel, then that is acceptable to me. I still have my red lines today and I will never work with groups like Jews for Jesus or Messianic community.”
-Rabbi Yehiel Eckstein

I've heard this about his organization a long time ago...he's always begging for money on Christian TV stations...I just hope those funds really reach those in need.
ReplyDeleteTo the previous anonymous commentator - it's likely that some funds donated by Christians to IFCJ go to anti-missionary organisations that persecute believers in Jesus. And even if it doesn't, Rabbi Eckstein has clearly indicated why Christians should never give money to IFCJ or support them in any way.
ReplyDeleteThere are loads of other organisations (Maoz is but one of many) that support Israel and, even if their main focus is aid not outreach, they do not ignore, marginalise, or even oppose Jewish believers. Give them your money instead.

ReplyDeleteI have always given to this worth while organization, even as I have been unemployed. This hurts my heart for it is saying that I am not accepted for being who I am as a Messianic Believer of Yeshua and that Rabbi Yehiel Eckstein has made me a 2nd class citizen. "Why"... I am a person that is extremely loyal to the point if it meant for me to be killed and to push a fellow JEWISH friend out of the way - I would do this for my friend and would not even think twice in doing this. This has always been my heart. (Note: I even offered one of my eyes to a friend whom was blind so he could have a chance to see (but he could not accept my eye for he had a disease in his eyes)... This is me. 'Why' has Rabbi Yehiel Eckstein separated me with his own hate toward me simply because I have made Yeshua (Jesus)as my Lord....
